TECHNICAL ILLUSTRATION

Lightsource Creations is in the unique position to offer airbrush technical illustration produced by hand, not just computer generated – an almost lost art in this age of computerization. A completely digital technical illustration still can't offer the kind of turnaround that clients often need. But with the forty years of experience of Graham F. Wilmott, MSIA. , together with the computer expertise of Lewis K. Mitchell, BA, Lightsource Creations can offer the very best of both worlds. This enables us to be extremely competitive and timely when quoting and producing world-class airbrushed and line technical illustration in perspective, not isometric. Graham F. Wilmott's engineering background allows him to detail the inner workings of any product, and has won him high regard with such high-profile clients as Panasonic, Suzuki, Smith Tool, Mikelson Yachts, Erickson Air-Crane, Nissan, Burson Marstellar, Young & Rubicam, Mazda, Hawker Sidley, and MacDonald Douglas, just to name a few. The process for an airbrushed technical illustration is:

1. Email , call or fax us with your inquiry. Upon review of the job a quote will be returned ASAP. Once work has begun 50% of job quote is expected within two weeks. The remaining fee is expected within 30 days of delivery of all work.

2. To obtain orthographic, or three view blueprints of the mechanical piece needed to be illustrated.

3. To use proportional dividers, ellipse guides, and other equipment to produce a perspective technical illustration by hand and eye to exact scale in pencil. Time is taken to confer with the client and make sure all is correct before continuing with the airbrush process.
